I have included an exact copy of the manuscript that I received from Gary Crull of Indiana. With the current DNA results we are getting, most of the information in this document are suspect as Crull/Krull has two primary meanings. Crull I think is primarily associated with Curly Hair. Krull is primarily associated with "Of the Kings Court".

This Crull History should be handed down from generation to generation. There should always be a Crull who will want to read it. One of my sons or daughters should write a few pages and put to this about 1960 or 1970, giving the names of my grandchildren and the state or county where they live. One of Elmer S Crull's daughters and Chester R Crull's daughter should do the same. All should try to keep this history up to date.
Chester's two grandchildren, Nancy L Werking and Philip Werking of near Richmond, Ind (1945) might also add to this.
This Crull History, originally written by Henry G Crull, has been revised, rewritten and updated by Gary A Crull, a distant cousin (third cousin, thrice removed!) to the original author.
No attempt was made to alter the statements made by Henry G Crull in the original work, unless noted otherwise. My soul purpose was to take the original work, which was tedious to read and comprehend, and re-write it in a concise and chronologically more accurate form. So that the reader may compare for thoughts or passages that might have been materially altered or omitted, a copy of the original work is available.
All work and thoughts of my own (including verification, and in some cases contradictions) will also be found.

KRALL is the true Dutch way of spelling CRULL. Our early ancestors changed their name from Krall to Kroll to Crull. Krall is the way we would spell our name today if our ancestors had not changed the spelling from Dutch to English.
Crull, spelled with Dutch letters would look like this:
Our name has been spelled with a 'K', 'C', and 'G'. Various spellings have included--Krall, Crall, Kroll, Croll, Krull, Crull, Grull, Krawl, Krell, Craul, Graul, Grauel, Croull, Crowll, Crowel, Crowell, Crowl, Chrowl, Groell, Krahl, Krohl, Krolf, Corywll, Crowle.
It was said that some changed Crowl to Chrowl because an English teacher once said 'h' should be in the name! They all spelled the name as they believed it should be spelled in an English country. However, the name was never pronounced more than two ways. Some pronounced the name the same way (those that could not speak English very well). Some changed the Crowell to Corwell or Coryell - the 'u' and 'y' being silent - pronouncing the name Co-rell.
I say of a fact that all spellings of the name were pronounced only two ways, one way sounding a little more Dutch than the other. Let us take the two names, Crull and Croull (it has been spelled both ways). In early days Croull was pronounced C-R-OU-LL. 'C' and 'R' had the same sound as we give them today. The "OU' had the same sound as 'OW' as in owl and in the 'LL' had the sound of "EL' as in Elmer. Crull was pronounced C-R-U-LL in the early days. The 'C' and 'R' had the same sound as we give them today The "U' had the sound of 'AH' and 'LL' had trhe sound of 'EL' as in Elmer. You can see the two names were pronounced almost alike. The various ways that Crull has been spelled have been pronounced one of these two ways. Some that spell their name Crowell changed their name to Corwell or Coryell, making the 'U' and 'Y' silent and pronouncing the name CO-rell. Some of these lived in Greene County Ohio, east of Dayton.
There were 10 or more Crulls or Kralls in the Revolutionary War of 1776. There were some Crulls in the War of 1812 and two or more in the Civil War of 1861. William and John Roush were soldiers in the Civil War as was Henry George Crull of Cincinnati, Ohio (the father of Henry and Lewis Krull, Muncie, Ind as of 1940) and Thomas Crull of Summitville, Ind (first cousin of Ben Crull of Olive Branch near Hagerstown).
There have been at least six preachers of the gospel in the Crull family as follows--

The First Crull
We say the "first" Crull here because the first name of Krall was later changed to Crull. According to tradition, there was a small boy who lived in the southern part of Germany who had long hair and long curls. This boy was likely kidnapped from some other country and brought to Germany. What his name was, or where his mother and father were, I cannot say. The German people saw his long hair and long curls and named him Krall - meaning to curl.
According to tradition this boy lived and grew up in southern Germany, raised a family, and his children and grandchildren grew to adulthood and all lived close together and formed the city Krallsheim, the German spelling for "Crulls home". (A modern day atlas shows a town by the name of Crailsheim", but no Krallsheim -- G Crull). We find a city of Krallsheim in the state of Wurttemburg. Some of the family who lived in or near this town in Wurttemburg went into the next state of Baden and settled near the French and German border. (Leander Crall, of New York, hired Frank Alleben, also of New York, to go down to Pennsylvania and Maryland to research the Crull, or Crall, history. Mr Alleben also looked for Crull history in Germany and said there was a Crull or Krall in Germany in the year 1295).
Our ancestor, John Christian Krall, along with his brothers Ulrich, John Martin, et al, were sons of John Krall, born circa 1650-1680, who lived and died in Germany. John Christian Krall went north into the territory of Hess, Germany, taking some of his brothers with him about 1720 or soon after that time. John Christian and his brother, Ulrich, left Hess for Holland, living there a few years before coming to America. They sailed on the ship MORTONHOUSE, landing in Philadelphia, Pa, on August 19, 1729. A few years later (1754) another brother, John Martin Krall, also came to Pennsylvania, going by the name of Martin Kroll.
John Christian Krall left a brother in Hess, Germany who was the father of Adam Krall (or Krull) Sr. Adam Sr had at least two sons who lived and died in Germany. One son, Adam Krall Jr fathered a son,Philip Krall Sr who changed his name to Krull and left Hesse for Ohio, settling near New Lebanon. He was a 3rd cousin to Henry Crull of near Hagerstown, Ind, my grandfather, who was born in Pennsylvania in 1804. Philip Krall Sr was also a 3rd cousin to the grandfather of the following:

All the grandfather's of the above were brothers or 1st cousins. Philip Krall Sr had three sons in Ohio: 1) Adam Krall Sr, 2) John Krall, 3) Phillip Krall Jr all living near New Lebanon, Ohio, February, 1942. Adam Krall had two sons, Siles Krall and Esta Krall and a daughter. Adam and his son Esta have been to see me when the FOUTZ-STOVER reunion was held at my home.
Adam Krall Sr of Hesse, Germany, was a 1st cousin to Peter Kroll, our great-great-grandfather. By "our" I mean most of my cousins that spell their name Crull. One of Adam Krall's sons left Hesse, Germany and went to Berlin, the capital. No doubt you remember reading in newspapers about the high ruler in Germany making big talks at the Old Kroll Opera house.
It is supposed that this son of Adam Krall Sr changed his name to KROLL (when he went to Berlin) to get away from his unbearable military training generals at a training camp in Hesse. Some other Krall's changed the name for this cause and likely built the Old Kroll Opera House.
Sometime later, one of the descendants of Adam Krall Sr left Berlin and went to the state of Mechlinburg in the north of Germany. This Kroll (Crull), or his son, left Germany and came to Wisconsin. He had a son, Rev H W Krull, a Lutheran preacher who lived in Plattsville, Wisconsin in 1930. He was a close relative of Adam Krull Sr of New Lebanon, Ohio.
SOME SIDE LIGHTS
It was common in those days for brothers to have the same first name, e g John. A man by the name of John Krall would name his sons John Christian, John Martin, etc and they would go by their middle names -- Christian Krall, Martin Krall, etc. John Krall was counted a great man by the German people so John was used as a family name the same as Krall. If asked to give his full name he would likely say "John Christian Krall" but when offical papers, such as land deeds, were signed, it would just be "Christian Krall".
There are many "John's" and "Henry's" in the Crull family. There are more by that name born in the United States in the past 200 years than any other name. In trying to keep them straight, just read the names of their wives and their descendants and you will be ok. (see Crull History of Names and Descendants).
Henry George Krall (a Civil War soldier) of Cincinnati, Ohio, came from the state of Baden, Germany between 1840-1860. At one time he spelled his name Grull. In early days some spelled the name with a 'G' in place of a 'K' or 'C'. Henry George Krull was the father of Lewis Crull and Henry G Crull of Muncie, Ind. Both have been to our Crull Reunion. Henry G Crull had a grocery store on Kirby Ave in Muncie in 1935.
EARLY AMERICAN CRULL HISTORY
John Christian Krall and his brother Ulrich Krall left Holland (after having emigrated from Germany a few years earlier), in 1729 on the ship Mortonhouse. They docked at Philadelphia, Pa on August 19, 1729. Pennsylvania and Maryland records (John Christian lived in both states at various times) show his named spelled Krall, Crall, Kroll or Croll. He went by the name Christian Krall and lived in Bucks County, or an adjoining one, in the south-eastern part of Pennsylvania until 1771 when he sold his land and went to Maryland. If you go to south-eastern Pennsylvania and find a land deed on record in one of the county court houses dated between 1729 - 1771 and "C K" or Barbara" is on the deed, it belonged to our ancestor John Christian Krall and his wife Barbara. John Christian Krall, a member of the Dunkard, or Mennonite Church, married Barbara and their children were Peter, Hannah, Elizabeth, Barbara, Mary (Gross), Catherine and Ann (Weller). Peter Krall was my great-great- grandfather. In fact, Peter is the ancestor of almost all that spell their name Crull.
In 1771, John Christian and brother, Ulrich Krall, sold land in Pennsylvania and put their money together. Ulrich wanted to go west and took his share and went to Lancaster County, Pa. John Christian on the other hand moved to Frederick County, Maryland, following a brother Issac Krall who had moved there. (Henry Croull, a brother or cousin of John Christian went to Frederick County in 1768 - 1769).
In 1773, John Christian bought land near the town of Thurmont, Frederick County Maryland. If you ever get to the city of Frederick, Maryland go to the courthouse and look for the deed. John Christian made his will in 1778 and it was proved in 1784, indicating he likely died that year.

All of the above were close relatives.
There was another John Christian Krall or Kroll that came to Pennsylvania Sept 15, 1729, but he was not our ancestor. He was a cousin of our John Christian Krall. This cousin went by the name Christian Krall and settled in the western part of Lancaster County , now York County. He and his wife, Elizabeth, had children John Michael, John Henry (born 1748), John Philip, John, Mary and John Henry Kroll (born 1751), and a daughter who died young. The first John Henry died young and since the family wanted a son named Henry they named the second one so. Again, all these sons went by their middle names.
It is hard to tell at this late date but this John Christian Krall may be the ancestor of Mrs Henry Shock, sister of Walter Krall, Henry County, Ind and Rev Frank Krall, Anderson, Ind. Mrs Shock's father, Philip Krall came from Lebanon County, Pa. I would rather believe they were descendents of Matthies Kroll, whose sons spelled their name Krall, or Ulrich Krall Jr, both from Lebanon County, Pa. Matthies was a brother to our ancestor John Christian and Ulrich Jr, was a grandson of our John Christian (Ulrich Jr being the son of Ulrich Sr, a brother of our John Christian). We have been told that Rev Frank Krall's grandfather, John Krall, came from Hunington County, Pa. John Krall was a brother to Mrs Shock's father, Philip Krall. John Krall was likely born in eastern Pennsylvania and claimed relation to my father, David Crull, Hagerstown, Ind.
Ulrich Krall Sr died in Lancaster County, Pa in 1773. Matthies Krall died in Lebanon County, Pa in 1785. Issac Krall, another brother, lived out his days in Frederick County, Maryland. There was another brother, John Martin Kroll (who went by the name Martin Kroll) who lived in Pennsylvania but I do not know where. Martin Croll a soldier in the War of 1812, was likely a grandson of this Martin Kroll.
HENRY CROULL
Henry Croull was a brother, or cousin, to our ancestor John Christian Krall. The CROWEL HISTORY, published in Dayton, Ohio by Henry Crowel says he believes this Henry Croull to be a brother to our ancestor; or at least a cousin. My father David Crull, said some Crull's claimed Henry Croull as our ancestor but I have proved that in error. Henry Croull lived in Frederick County, Md, the same county as our ancestor, in 1776.
The publisher of the Crowel History said Henry Croull came to Maryland from Germany but later published a supplement and said Henry Croull was brought to Pa. from Germany, and later moved to Maryland. He bought land in Berks County, Pa. in 1752 as Henry Croull (or Graul, as he spelled his name then, 'G' having the sound of 'K'). A few years later he moved to Frederick County, Md. where he owned a number of tracts of land along with his brother Michael Crowel, Graul. Henry's wife was Margaret. You may wonder why Croull had the letter 'o'. He was so Dutch in his speech that when English people asked him for his name they spelled it as best they could, the way they understood him - thus - Croull.
My father, David Crull, said some Crull's claimed we were descendants of Henry Croull. There is one place in Maryland records where his name was spelled Crull. However, it was spelled half a dozen ways in various documents in Maryland. But, after studying the Crull history and records of Pennsylvania and Maryland, I find we are descendants of John ChristianCrull.
In 1774 the United States had the Continental Congress. Some of the leading men organized correspondence committees by which the towns and colonies could consult on all public matters by letter and thus prepare for calling a continental congress when it was thought necessary. It had no president and the committees had to call the congress to meeting by writing letters. Henry Croull was one of these committeemen in Frederick County, Md.
Henry Croull's descendents spelled the name various ways -- Growl, Chrowl, Graul, Crowll, Crowel and Crowell, each as they thought it should be spelled, but all pronounced one way. (as told to me by William Crowl of Ohio, who is a descendant of Henry Croull).

Other descendants of Henry Croull lived in Tennessee, Covington, Ohio and Carroll County, Indiana. One, Abraham Crowel, a member of the Church of God and so well thought of that people stood outside the church at his funeral. Another, Henry Crowel, Dayton, Ohio, a brother to Abraham, published a Crowel History. This history is on record at the Historical Museum, East 107th Street, Cleveland, Ohio.
Henry Croull's brother, Michael Croull, came to Pennsylvania from Germany in 1736. He spelled his name Graul when living in Berks County, Pa in 1752 but later changed it and went to York County, Pa. He had two sons, William Crowel and Henry Crowel, both of York County, Pa., who were Revolutionary War soldiers in 1776. After the war, William went to Centre County, Pa and his son Peter Crowel, changed his name to Crowl and then to Krahl and went west through Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, settling in Iowa with his brother John who had accompanied him. Another son of Peter Crowl was Lewis Henry Krahl who lived in Indiana or Illinois. It is likely that Michael Krahl of Cambridge City, Ind., who died circa 1940, was a descendant of Lewis Henry Krahl, but I cannot say for sure.
Another son of Michael Crowel was Conrad Crowel of Greene County, Ohio east of Dayton. A son of Conrad's changed the name to Crowell, adding an 'L' with some later descandant changing the 'O' and 'R' around and pronouncing it Co-rell, the 'W' being silent. There was a John Allen Coryell (the 'Y' being silent) Hagerstown, Ind who, I think, was a descendant of Michael Crowel (Graul) of York County, Pa. I believe he was named after his grandfather John Craul or Crowel, and after his father's uncle, Allen Web. John Allen Coryell was likely a great-grandson of the Henry Crowel (Graul) who fought in the Revolutionary War of 1776.
It seems a likely conclusion that all men named Krall, Kroll, Croll, Craull, Crowl, Crowll, Crowel, Kraul, Craul, Crull, Krahl, Krohl or Kralf were brothers or cousins and were all descendants of that small boy in Germany with the long hair and curls.

There were many "others", meaning all, or most, born between 1860-1880, some as late as 1895.
Peter Kroll, Croll, owned land in Sulford Township, Philadelphia County, Pa. The county lines were changed so that the land he owned is now on the line between Montgomery and Bucks County, Pa. I do not know if Peter stayed in Bucks or Montgomery County or moved to some other part of the state.
Peter's son, John Croll, my great-grandfather, was born in 1772 and lived in Butler County, Pa before moving to Montgomery County, Ohio circa 1815. After he had his growth he moved to Butler County, Ohio. (Records show that this county was not settled until John was 18 years old).
In Montgomery County, near New Lebanon, Ohio, John bought 160 acres of land three miles east of New Lebanon and about 3/4 miles south with a brick house on it. It joined the land of Henry Crowll, a cousin (the father of Henry Crowel who wrote the Crowel History). John Crull was married to Soloma Booker. One of Soloma's sisters was the ancestor of Ivan Dilling of near Hagerstown, Ind., Ivan's sister, May Whistler, and their cousin, Mrs Wayne Goar. Another sister of Soloma's was the ancestor of Eugene Barrett, east of Hagerstown.
Mary Gross was the wife of Rev Jacob Gross, preacher to the Deep Run Mennonite Church, Bucks County, Pa. Their sons, Christian Gross a preacher, and Issac Gross both lived in Bucks County, Pa. Rev John Gross, most likely the son or grandson of Christian Gross, also lived in Bucks County. Christian and Issac Gross were first cousins to John Crull.
John and Saloma Crull are buried southeast of New Lebanon, Ohio in the Old Crull Graveyard (about 2 miles southwest of their home) and is looked after by Adam Krull. There is an old grave at the side of John's grave which could be that of his father, Peter Kroll.

John, born 1772, married Soloma Booher, were parents of nine children. John was my great-grandfather.
Jacob, born 1776, married Hannah, parents of six children. He lived in Lancaster County, Pa and in later life move to Montgomery County Ohio with his brothers and sisters. In 1832 he moved to Wayne County, Ind. He was the great-grandfather of George W Crull of near Milton, Ind and the ancestor of Levi Crull Jr, and Marlin Crull.
Henry, born 1784, married Esther Bowman of Montgomery County, Ohio, parents of six children, one of whom was the father of Ben Crull of near Hagerstown, Ind. Henry was the great-grandfather of Mrs John Champe of Dublin, Ind., Alonzo Crull, Wabash, Ind., and great-great-grandfather of Roy Crull, Wabash, Ind.
Hannah, married Mose Miller, parents of Daniel Miller, and Mary (Roush). Hannah was the great-grandmother of Charles Miller, near Hagerstown, Ind., and Walter Miller, near Hagerstown. Walter's sister's son is Allen Harris, east of Hagerstown - 1945.
Christena, married Abraham Miller. After Christena and Hannah's husband, Mose Miller died, Abraham married his sister-inlaw, Hannah Crull Miller and were parents of Abraham Miller Jr.
R Barbara, married John Mason, and were parents of ten children. They left Ohio and came to Wayne County, Ind., settling near Milton. R Barbara was the great-grandmother of Frank Worl, and his sister Mrs J Jones of near New Castle, Ind. She was the grandmother of lawyer Frank and Ed Mason of Hagerstown.
Daniel, married Mary Miller and moved to St Joseph County, Ind. After Mary died, Daniel married her sister Elizabeth Miller. There were children by both marriages. Daniel was the grandfather of Alice Applegate, South Bend, Ind., Barbara Crull, Elkhart, Ind and Loren Crull, St Joseph County, Ind.
THE CHILDREN OF JOHN AND SOLOMA BOOKER CRULL
Jacob, along with brothers John B and Henry, came to Wayne County, Ind from Montgomery County, Ohio about 1834 (exact date not known). He had a farm northwest of Hagerstown along Nettle Creek that he sold and moved to Hagerstown. Later he moved to Cass County, Ind. Sarah Countryman, and Mrs Oldham were his daughters.
John B, was married to Margaret and owned land in Wayne County, Indiana. Main Street in Hagerstown was the south line of his land. It ran from the cross streets that are north of the railroad station on Main Street, west to the railroad crossing and north from this line. A few years later he sold this land (the northwest fourth of Hagerstown stands on the site now) to buy land west of town, south of Chicago Corner Church on State Road 38 where Henry Werking lives (1940). John and Margaret's 12 children were:

Henry, born 1804, bought land 2 miles northwest of Hagerstown. The Wayne/Henry County line was the west line of the 200 acres, or more, farm. The railroad was built through his farm some years later. Henry was married to Nancy Bouser of Montgomery County, Ohio and had nine children.
Samuel, along with his sisters, Mary, Betsy, and Christena, lived in Montgomery County, Ohio. He was the father of Frank Crull, Gary, Ind and Grover C Crull, near Tippicanoe, Ind.
Mary, was the grandmother of David Priser, North Manchester, Ind and Harve Priser, New Lebanon, Ohio
Christena, was the grandmother of Charles Hay, Brookville, Ohio, and George Alger Erbaugh near New Lebanon, Ohio
Saloma, married William Studebaker, who lived in or near, South Bend, Ind. After his death she went to New Lebanon, Ohio to live.

They had eight children and lived 2 miles northwest of Hagerstown in 1880 on 3 acres of land on the eastside of the Wayne/Henry County line where I was born. It is the second house south of the railroad - Elmer Bowman owns the place now (January 1, 1945). David bought this land off the corner of his father's farm and put up a house and barn, being a carpenter at the time. About 1882 he moved to his father's farm and Henry lived with them until he died in 1883. (Earl Stewart lives on the farm now). In the spring of 1884, David and Philena bought a 70 acre farm 2 1/2 miles northeast of Hagerstown from Joel Replogle. They moved to the farm along Olive Branch in March, 1884. Their 3 youngest children (my brothers) were born there. David lived to be almost 60 and died April, 1907. Some years later, Philena sold the farm. She died July, 7, 1944 at the age of 91 years, 9 months, 9 days.

John Krall, lived and died in the State of Baden, or the Territory of Hess, Germany, and possibly both.
John Christian Krall(Croll), married Barbara. He and his brother Ulrich Krall(Kroll,Croll), came to Pennsylvania aboard the ship MORTONHOUSE, August, 1729, landing at Philadelphia, from
Amsterdam, Holland. Christian owed land in Bucks County and three adjoining counties in Pennsylvania. In 1771 he sold his Bucks County land and bought land in Frederick County, Maryland in 1773. He died in 1784.
Peter Crull, lived in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and adjoining counties. Peter's sister Mary Gross lived and died in Bucks County and was married to Rev Jacob Gross of the Mennonite Church. I cannot state if Peter died in Bucks County or in Maryland.
John Crull, was born in 1772 and married Soloma Booher. They lived in Butler County, Pa in 1804. In 1815 they bought land in Montgomery County, Ohio. Their land was three miles east and miles south of New Lebanon, Ohio. They are buried about 2 miles southwest of their home in the old Crull Graveyard.
Henry Crull, born 1804, married Nancy Bouser of Montgomery County, Ohio. They came to Wayne County, Ind about 1834 and bought 200 acres of land 2 miles northwest of Hagerstown. The Wayne/Henry County line was built through their farm after they bought it. Earl Stewart lives on the north part of that farm now (April,1945). Nora Cox owns a part of the farm and Elmer Bowman lives on the southwest corner (January, 1946). The writer of this history, Henry G Crull, was born where Mr Bowman now lives.
David Crull, born 1847, near Hagerstown, Ind married Philena Foutz. They owned a house and 2 1/2 acres of land on the eastside of the Wayne/Henry County line in 1880. It was the first house north of State Road 38 on the east side of the road where Elmer Bowman lives now (January, 1946). David bought a 70 acre farm from Joel Replogle in the spring of 1884 and moved there in March. It was 2 1/2 miles northeast of Hagerstown and 3/4 miles east of State Road 1, along Olive Branch. Olive Branch runs through the barn lot.

Henry Crull, born 1784, lived in Montgomery County, Ohio. Two sons, Daniel and Henry went to Noblesville, Ind to live. I have been told that Henry Sr was buried in the Bethel Graveyard near Noblesville and that his wife was Ester Bowman of Montgomery County, Ohio. He was my great-great-uncle.
John Crull, (or "white John", as he was known, because of his light hair), lived just west of Cambridge City, Ind., but spent part of his life in Ohio. He lived about 4 miles southwest of Hagerstown, where his sons were born. His first wife was Polly Worl and his second was Molly Myers Barnard (her first husband was a Barnard). There were no children by his second marriage. John lived out his days in Flora, Ind. He was a deacon in the Nettle Creek Church of the Brethren (Dunkard) when he lived in Hagerstown.
Henry Crull, lived in Huntington County, Ind. His brother, Ben, lived along Olive Branch near Hagerstown, Ind. Henry's sons were John, Joe, Enoch, and Alonzo.
Alonzo Crull, Wabash, Ind. married Clara Mae Munger.
Clyde LeRoy 'Roy' Crull, Wabash, Ind. married LaDora June Green. Their children were Bobbie, Donna Dae, Phyllis J, Doris Jean and Walter L.

Gideon Crull, one of a large family, was the father of Peter D, Levi SR, George W, Eliza (Marlatt) and Lizzie (Stickleman). Gideon lived part of his life near Noblesville, Ind and is buried with his wife Catherine, in Doderidge Chapel Cemetary east of Milton, Ind.
Levi Sr, was born Sept 27, 1854 and died May 22, 1927. He married Anna and had three children who died young -George, Willits and Evelyn*. Their other seven children lived to adulthood:

Levi Crull Sr's wife Anna Maria Willits was born Jan 27, 1861 and died Jan 7, 1939.
Edna, Ruth and Edgar never married.
Levi Jr married Edith Wesling Crull (widow of Levi Jr's cousin Clarance). There were no children. Levi at various times was a train engineer, policeman on the Rushville, Ind force and guard at the Indiana State Reformatory at Pendleton where they lived several years prior to his death. Edith spent her last days in a nursing home in Lewisville, Ind.
Geneva married Herman Cotton and had 4 children: Hilden, William 'Bill', Claudine (Mason) and Robert. Geneva died in Indiana, the rest of the family lived in California.
Gertrude 'Gertie', married Charles Johnson. There were no children. After Charles died Gertrude, Ruth and Edna lived together in Rushville and later bought land northeast of Rushville on old State Route 3 that belonged to Louie Grover Johnson (Marlin Crull's father-in-law). They lived out their days there.

MARTIN KROLL
Martin Kroll (Crull) was a cousin to our ancestor John Christian Krall. Martin lived and died in Baden, Germany. John Martin Kroll (brother of John Christian Kroll) who came to Pennsylvania in 1754 was likely a cousin of this Martin Kroll. Martin Kroll of Baden was the father of William, David, Henry and Mary (Coners). After Martin's death his wife remarried and brought the children to Pennsylvania. William and David married and had children who have descendants in different states. David Crull was a Revolutionary War soldier and died east of Cincinnati, Ohio. Charles Crull and his son John M Crull, Hunington, Ind., who died in 1907, were descendants of David Crull. David and Nancy were parents of:
